Tuition payments are due by the first of the month, and considered late after the 10th, when a $25 late fee is assessed. Include your student’s name on every check, money order or credit card payment. If you have questions about tuition, please email us at hello@nerdygirleducation.com

The first step is to complete an application. Next steps include a developmental screening and submission of required paperwork.

Yes, all children are required to be potty-trained.

If a student is enrolled in a 4 hour program; we ask that you send in a drink and (peanut-free or nut-free) snack for your child. We recommend a snack bag or lunch box. We have limited  access to a refrigerator, so please pack snacks accordingly.

The toys and classrooms are sanitized on a daily basis.  Teachers follow a detailed checklist and sign off upon cleaning.  Toys and surface areas are sanitized by EPA-approved disinfectants and diluted bleach solutions.  A cleaning service also maintains facility appearance and cleanliness.

Your child will bring home progress reports. Additionally, the teachers use quarterly newsletters to communicate. Contacting your child’s tutor via email with specific questions is also acceptable. Please don’t ever hesitate to share any questions or concerns you may have with your child’s tutor. At least one parent-teacher conference will be scheduled during the year also.

We seek educators with experience and passion to be in this field.  All staff members undergo a comprehensive background check (such as federal clearance for fingerprinting, reference checks, child abuse training, cpr / first aid,  etc…)  In addition, our staff is required to complete 18-hours of training annually (as suggested per NAEYC).  Our teachers are well-educated and nurturing people who respect the children’s need for security while encouraging autonomy.

If a behavior needs addressed, it is done so on an individual basis. A child may be moved from a situation to sit at a table with an assistant. We always try to focus on the positive, not the negative.
